Nestled off the Coopers Rock exit lies a hidden gem of adventure, the WVU Zipline
Canopy Tour. It's not just an adrenaline rush; it's an opportunity to delve into
the heart of North-Central West Virginia's natural beauty while experiencing the
thrill of zipping through the treetops. The Adventure Awaits The canopy tour boasts
four exhilarating ziplines, an aerial bridge, aerial ladder, and a rappel station.
From the initial 201’ zip to the grand finale of a 980’ zip, each leg of the journey
promises breathtaking views and heart-pounding excitement. The descent from the
final platform, a 45-foot rappel, adds a thrilling conclusion to the adventure.
But it's not just about the adrenaline; it's about the experience of being immersed
in nature.
A Journey Through Nature
As participants zip through the canopy, they're not just experiencing a rush of excitement;
they're also gaining insights into Cooper's Rock State Forest and the University
Research Forest. Knowledgeable guides accompany adventurers, providing fascinating
information about the forests, their management, and the diverse flora and fauna
that inhabit them. It's an educational adventure, offering a unique perspective
on the forest ecosystem and the importance of conservation.
Preparing for the Adventure
Before embarking on this unforgettable journey, there are a few things to consider.
Participants can schedule their adventure through the registration page, ensuring
